Urban evolution

Now in the Pacific Northwest. In the land of rainforests, record drought withers gardens and turns rivers into algae baths. The Really Big One lands. Gang and gun violence escalate. Still the cities have been discovered and continue to be bum rushed. Home prices go through the roof. (Are they coming north for the water, the climate, the lack of fault lines?) Freeways slow to a crawl. Our tolerance for each other, our legendary civic mindedness is tested.

The place always survives and so will we. But will we live now? What will be left around us? This is when we find out.
